Sketch of a Hungry Guy Sketch of a Hungry Guy

Rated 5 / 5 stars

I agree, Pdiddlings, that this hungry man looks like he is lying down. The reasons, as I see, are as follows: There are faint lines to the right of his head as if his head is in contact with something (intuitively a pillow). The angle that his sholders and head are coming onto the paper at give the effect and idea that he is lying down. And finally, in accordance with his eyes, he is looking at an extreme angle that most people standing up would not look at if they were viewing something of importance that is level with the ground, e.g. food (in other words; if a person were standing and wanted to look at something as important as food, they would merely turn their head slightly; while a person lying down will sometimes look at such an extreme angle rather than bothering to move their head out of a comfertable position). This is my opinion. Hope that helps a little.

On a more related note; I love the drawing! I'm not a great drawer myself (although I would love to be), so I am in awe of this picture. I admit the content depresses me slightly, but often the most depressing subjects are also the most fascinating! Bravo my good sir!

p.s. I also LOVE Cyanide and Happiness!! Those animations RULE!!
